Map of the origin of the refugees encountered.
Each book has a different textile cover to highlight that like a refugee, each story is unique.

My final project and dissertation focused on the refugee crisis and textile waste.

My research was based upon 2 weeks of voluntary work with an NGO in Greece, solo visits under the bridge on the Franco-Italian border, interpreting for a local police station, diverse interviews, and workshops with an unaccompanied minors center in Nice.

Each cover was hand-sewn using textile samples (waste) from an Interior Designer, in order to highlight that each textile has its own qualities & history, just like a refugee.
No two covers are the same.
